This mural’s design is inspired by its location’s history of being a crossing point, tying together and linking two neighborhoods. The intent can be seen in its simplicity and repetition. The rope brings order to chaos through repetitive crossing patterns. Knots bring strength and stability to loose ends through simple crossing and pulling in a learned order.
